School Climate Surveys

Results from the School Climate Surveys provide the administration and building principals with school-level feedback and information that are used for continuous improvement planning efforts. The collected information is also used in the Annual School Report Cards. Every two years the Department of Planning, Innovation, and Accountability administers these surveys to instructional staff, students, and parents/guardians.

  • Staff Survey: Administered to school-based instructional staff.
  • Student Survey: Administered to students in grades 5, 8, and 12.
  • Parent Survey: Administered to parents/guardians of students in grades 5, 8, and 12.

The reports available at the links below display results for all three surveys for the overall division and separately by school level: elementary, middle, and high. The Department of Planning, Innovation, and Accountability appreciates suggestions and comments regarding the information included on this page. Please provide your feedback to the Department of Planning, Innovation, and Accountability, Virginia Beach City Public Schools, P.O.
