School Board budget offers 2 percent raise and funds to help lower class sizes

The School Board recently approved its 2017-2018 operating budget which addresses priorities such as strategically reducing class sizes at the secondary level and providing competitive compensation for the division’s outstanding teachers and staff. In addition, the School Board requested $14 million from City Council to phase in full-day kindergarten at every elementary school in the division. Read
